Hi everyone! Thanks for joining us here on our new blog! Chances are you’re here because you want to stay up to date on all things Jake, his heart, our family, and the transplant process. He is so near and dear to all of us that we thought it was clever to name this “A Heart For Jake” with a double meaning – after all, he does literally need a new heart and also, we all care so deeply for him and have a “heart” for his well-being. Cute, right?! You should see him rolling his eyes LOL!
In all seriousness, my prayer for this site is that we will be able to keep those of you following along up to date on how he is doing as well as share with you all of the blessings that have come from this season. As we’ve walked this journey for 8 years now, we have seen God’s faithful and graceful hand in all of it!
“It is the Lord who goes before you, He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8
And isn’t that the truth?! We have had countless conversations where we can look back and see how He has, in fact, gone before us and prepared a way. And we have full faith that he is still doing that now as we wait to see if Jake will make the transplant list.
Being this is my first post, bear with me as I learn how to navigate this whole blog thing. It will be far from perfect, but that’s ok! Stay tuned for a current update and what we have coming up this week!
